MLB Rumors: Tampa Bay Rays Interested In Houston Astros Pitcher

According to Patrick Creaton, the Rays are expressing interest in Astros pitcher Jose Urquidy.

Urquidy's name popped up in the rumor mill recently. Although the Astros will be playing postseason baseball, they are looking to make upgrades to their roster. This, in turn, has made Urquidy expendable in their eyes - if they receive an acceptable offer for him, of course.

The Rays could use a jolt to their rotation and adding a pitcher like Urquidy could provide just that. In 19 starts this season, he sports a 9-4 record to go along with a 3.86 ERA.
