MLB Rumors: Miami Marlins & Atlanta Braves Failed Trade

There were plenty of trades at this year's deadline, but another big one almost occurred. According to Barry Jackson and Craig Mish, the Marlins almost acquired Marcell Ozuna from the Braves in exchange for Avisail Garcia.

This would have been an intriguing one-for-one trade between two division rivals. Yet, at the end of the day, the two clubs decided against making the move. It would have been a very interesting trade to see come to fruition, though.

Ozuna, who is a former Marlin, has 19 home runs, 42 RBIs, and a .222 batting average in 99 games this season with the Braves. Garcia, on the other hand, has seven home runs, 30 RBIs, and a .232 batting average in 88 games.
