Minnesota Twins Pitcher Done For Season

The Minnesota Twins will be without Jorge Alcala for the remainder of the 2022 season. The four-year veteran has elected to get shoulder surgery.

Alcala pitched in just two games for the Twins this season due to his elbow injury. During them, he pitched 2.1 scoreless innings. With the Twins gearing up for the playoffs, they would have loved for Alcala to be healthy enough to return. Yet, that of course will not be the case.

In 79 career games over four seasons with Minnesota, Alcala sports a 5-7 record and 3.39 ERA. Thankfully, he is expected to be ready to go for the start of the 2023 campaign.
