Giants Place Infielder On 60-Day IL

The San Francisco Giants are losing an infielder for a while.

The Giants have placed infielder Donovan Walton on the 60-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation.

The team recalled Walton from Triple-A and placed him on the injured list to make space on the 40-man roster for catcher Patrick Mazeika.

The twenty-eight-year-old has appeared in just 25 games in the majors this season, hitting .158/.179/.303, with one home run, eight RBIs and nine runs scored.
