Cleveland Guardians Send Infielder Down To Triple-A

The Guardians are continuing to make roster moves, as now infielder Ernie Clement has been sent down to Triple-A Columbus.

Clement has played in a career-high 58 games this season with the Guardians. Overall, he was utilized as a utility player, as he can play third base, second base, and the outfield. Yet, his struggles at the plate has made him expendable on their major league roster. He has a .203 batting average to go along with just six RBIs this campaign.

The Guardians are fighting for a playoff spot and are just one game behind the Minnesota Twins at the time of this writing. Thus, it makes sense that they are making changes to their roster. Let's see if Clement can impress in Triple-A and earn himself another call-up shortly.
