Cardinals Activate and Immediately Option Infielder

The St. Louis Cardinals activated him from the 10-injured list and immediately optioned him to Triple-A Memphis. 

Juan Yepez has been optioned to Triple-A.

Yepez had already been at Triple-A Memphis for his rehab assignment so he'll stay exactly where he is. The Cardinals don't have a spot on their roster for Yepez right now, but he'll get more playing time in the minors so they'll keep him there, for now.

The twenty-four-year-old rookie has been very good at the major league level this season, slashing .254/.298/.459, with 11 home runs, 27 RBIs and 24 runs scored through 62 games. 

We should see him back with the Cardinals very soon.
