Blue Jays Activate Outfielder From Injured List

He only required the minimum stay on the 10-day injured list, as expected.

The Toronto Blue Jays have activated outfielder George Springer from the 10-day injured list.

Springer returns to the top of the Blue Jays' lineup for the series opener on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles. He has not played since August 14, due to right elbow inflammation which is something that has been bothering him all season.

In 89 games this season, the thirty-two year old outfielder has hit .251/.331/.464, with 18 home runs, 49 RBIs and 10 stolen bases.

The Jays are currently 61-52, one game up on the Seattle Mariners for the first AL Wild Card spot.
