Athletics Promote Top Prospect

The Oakland Athletics are promoting their top prospect.

Catcher Shea Langeliers is being promoted from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Langeliers was acquired from the Atlanta Braves in the Matt Olson trade earlier this spring. The twenty-four-year-old will make his major league debut on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers.

Langeliers was named the MVP of the 2022 All-Star Futures Game last month and has been slugging in the minors this season, batting .283/.366/.510, with 62 runs scored, 19 home runs, 56 RBIs and five stolen bases across 92 games this season.
