VIDEO: Royals Pitcher Suspended for Altercation With Fan

On August 2nd, Kansas City Royals reliever Amir Garrett and a Chicago White Sox fan got into a verbal altercation.

Both sides went at it for a while, verbally abusing each other. Amir Garrett then took his drink and splashed it on the fan, causing an uproar among the White Sox's fans in that section.

Garrett has now been given a three-game suspension by Major League Baseball. The thirty-year-old reliever is appealing the suspension and will be available to pitch until the appeal is heard.

Across 32 innings pitched this season, Garrett holds a poor 4.45 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 34 strikeouts. He is a career 5.03 ERA pitcher, with 288 innings under his belt.
