Astros Option Outfielder

He has not impressed the Houston Astros upon his return.

As a result, the team has optioned Jake Meyers to Triple-A Sugar Land.
In 47 games played for the Astros this season, Meyers has hit just .209/.255/.302, with one home run, 14 RBI and one stolen base.

It looks like the Astros will go with Chas McCormick and Mauricio Dubon in center field moving forward.

In the minors this season, the twenty-six year old has posted a decent .250/.322/.764 slash line, with three home runs, four RBI and 10 runs scored over 52 at-bats. We could see him back up in the majors soon if he impresses enough at the Triple-A level.

Meyers is a former 13th-round pick of the Astros in the 2017 MLB Draft.
