Arizona Diamondbacks Mourn Passing Of Family Member

A very sad day for the Arizona Diamondbacks family, as General Manager Mike Hazen's wife has passed away after a two-year battle with cancer. She leaves behind Mike and their four children.

Nicole Hazen was taken by a horrific case of glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer which robbed her of the ability to speak and walk in the two years leading up to her passing.

The Hazen family posted a heartbreaking message on Diamondbacks social media, thankful for the outpouring of support from the community. 

A Nicole Hazen Fund for Hope has been set up by the team, and people can contribute here. It funds research for the terrible disease glioblastoma. 

Our hearts go out to the Hazen family.
