MLB Rumors: Soto and Nationals Relations Breaking Down

We already know that Juan Soto turned down the Washington Nationals' offer of $440M for 15 years. We also heard that Soto was unhappy that news of the contract offer was leaked from somewhere in the Nationals organization.

The bad feelings are starting to lead to an apparent breakdown in relations, as we now hear that the Nationals refused to fly Soto to the Home Run Derby, so he had to grab a flight himself.

Scott Boras confirmed that the Nats wouldn't charter Soto to L.A., so he flew commercial (oh, the horrors!), and arrived at LAX at 1:30am Monday morning.

No trouble for Juan, however, as he went out that night and blasted away the competition in winning the Home Run Derby.

But with the bad blood now apparent between the sides, the trade talks will be heating up. We'll have a look at the offers that could land him, starting with the team that dealt for another couple of Nationals superstars at the 2021 trade deadline.
