MLB Rumors: Seattle Mariners Willing To Trade Top Prospect

According to Ryan Divish, the Mariners are open to moving Jarred Kelenic if it "helps fill their immediate needs."

Naturally, Kelenic would get a lot of attention from rebuilding squads if he's made available. He's viewed as having a lot of potential, but he just hasn't been able to translate it over the majors yet. In 123 games over two seasons, he has 17 home runs, 53 RBIs, and a low .173 batting average. Although he has been dominant in Triple-A, he has struggled in the league's most competitive league.

It will be intriguing to see if the Mariners elect to move Kelenic before the deadline passes. There is absolutely risk in making a move like this, so time will tell if they opt to.
