MLB Rumors: Houston Astros Linked To Washington Nationals Slugger

According to Andy Martino, the Astros are interested in acquiring Josh Bell from the Nationals.

Bell is one of the top names in the rumor mill right now. The veteran first baseman is set to become a UFA this offseason and is expected to be traded because the Nationals are once again bottom feeders this season. The Astros, on the other hand, are aiming to boost up their lineup before the playoffs. Thus, it makes sense that Bell is on their radar.

Bell is having a very strong season on a bad Nationals club. In 93 games, he has 13 home runs, 50 RBIs, and a .311 batting average. If Houston adds that kind of offense to their lineup, that would be huge for them. Let's see if this interest leads to anything from here.
