MLB Rumors: Boston Red Sox To Trade Pitcher

The Red Sox just keep on losing, and it's becoming clear that they are just not built for the playoffs. As a result of this, the possibility of them being sellers is continuing to increase each day. One pending UFA who has been gaining more attention in the rumor mill is Nathan Eovaldi.

Eovaldi is exactly the kind of starter that a playoff team would love to acquire. The 11-year veteran is a one-time All-Star and one-time World Series champ, so he comes with a solid resume. With that, he has the ability to be a good middle-of-the-rotation pitcher for a contender. In 14 starts this season, he has a 4-3 record to go along with a 4.30 ERA.

The Red Sox are continuing to fall and have done so in an embarrassing fashion. Let's see if that's enough for them to move Eovaldi instead of running the risk of losing him for nothing during the offseason.
