MLB Rumors: 3 Position Players Who Will Be Traded

The MLB's non-waiver trade deadline is just around the corner and after showcasing some pitchers who will be traded, we dive into the lineups and bring you three position players who will be dealt in the coming days. They include:

Willson Contreras, Chicago Cubs

The 30-yearold Contreras received a loud ovation on Wednesday night in what could be his last at-bat at home as a member of the Cubs. He's a pending free agent and management is expected to cash in before the deadline. Contreras is having a fine season, posting a .258 avg with 14 HR and 37 RBI. Because of his defensive abilities it's likely he'll stick behind the plate after the trade, even with catcher trades being rare this late in the season.

Josh Bell, Washington Nationals

A pending free agent, Josh Bell is one of the best left-handed bats available, even as a switch hitter. The Nationals aren't going anywhere anytime soon and will sell Bell off to the highest bidder. So far this season, the 29-year-old first baseman has posted a .302 avg with 13HR and 53RBI.

Look for the Toronto Blue Jays to have some serious interest in acquiring Bell, as will the Minnesota Twins who wouldn't mind adding some more offense.

Brandon Drury, Cincinatti Reds

Talk about cashing in at the right time, the Reds signed Drury to a minor-league deal and all he's done since is go on a tear. The 29-year-old is a pending free agent who has posted a .268 avg with 19 HR and 57 RBI.

Drury's versatility can play on any team as he's able to play 3B, 1B, 2B, and even some outfield. Look for the Reds to settle on a mid-range prospect or two and see if they can strike on a lottery ticket from Drury's minor league contract.
