Update: Rays Outfielder Expected To Miss "Several Months"

The Tampa Bay Rays have some problems in the outfield. Losing two of their starters in one game earlier this week, they're likely to be without Manuel Margot for "several months", and possibly for the rest of the season.

According to Rays beat writer Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, the team is waiting for "several doctors" to examine the MRI imaging on Margot's knee to determine the next course of action.

He injured the knee crashing into the outfield wall Monday night.
On the bright side, Kevin Kiermeier received a cortisone injection in his left hip, and expects to return after his 10-day IL stay. “Hopefully, (I) respond well to this cortisone shot and get back out there and see what I can do.”

Kiermeier says he's had "some issues" in that hip for about a year, and this injury was "the breaking point."
