Tigers Pitcher Goes on Restricted List

Detroit Tigers pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez has been out for some weeks now.

After spending fifteen days on the injured list, the Tigers activated the starting pitcher today, only to place him on the restricted list.

Rodriguez was first moved to the injured list on May 22nd with a left ribcage sprain.

While it is confirmed that Rodriguez is healthy and has overcome his injury, he has informed the team that he will not be returning to the lineup for a period of time. Rodriguez has not disclosed the reasons for his absence.

The pitcher has not appeared in a game since mid-May.

He has started a total of eight games this season, and holds a 1-3 record with an ERA of 4.38.
