Red Sox Acquire Pitcher From Phillies

The Boston Red Sox are adding to their pitching depth, as they have acquired James Norwood from the Philadelphia Phillies for some cash.

The Phillies just designated Norwood for assignment earlier this week, but he will now be getting a chance with the Red Sox organization.

Norwood has made appearances at the major league level in each of the last five seasons but only has 48 games on his resume. During them, he has a 1-2 record and 5.48 ERA. Let's see if he can improve his numbers as a Red Sox.
