Padres Activate Starter from Covid List

As the San Diego Padres lose a star starter to the infamous Covid injured list, they also gain one back.
Joe Musgrove was  placed on the list this evening.
However, earlier in the afternoon, right-handed pitcher Mike Clevinger rejoined the team's bullpen.
Clevinger will be able to pitch out of the bullpen over the weekend. However, it remains to be seen when the starter will be worked back into the pitching rotation.
Clevinger stated that he and his family had become ill with the flu. While this is the reason the pitcher was placed on the Covid list, he has since stated that he has recovered.
Mike Clevinger has only started four times this season, as he has been moved to the injured list twice.
Over his four starts, the pitcher has a 3.18 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP, and 20 strikeouts over 17 innings.
As Clevinger returns, the San Diego Padres move right-handed pitcher Kyle Tyler back down to AAA El Paso.
