MLB Rumors: Nationals DH Garnering Trade Interest

The Washington Nationals currently sport a 24-46 record and are destined to be sellers this trade deadline. Interest around the league in Nelson Cruz is continuing to increase, and a move seems inevitable at this point.

We recently discussed how Cruz is on the trading block, but with the deadline continuing to get closer, those odds of him getting dealt are only getting higher. Cruz would likely be open to a change of scenery, as he is an 18-year veteran still looking for his first World Series ring. That won't be happening in DC.

In 64 games this season, Cruz's power numbers have been lower, as he has just seven home runs and 37 RBIs. However, a change of scenery to a contender could be just what the 41-year-old needs to get his home run totals back up. Teams in need of some more offense will be in on the Cruz sweepstakes.
