Mets Infielder Clears Waivers

The New York Mets won't be losing Gosuke Katoh, as the infielder has cleared waivers. As a result of this, he has been assigned to Triple-A Syracuse.

Katoh has yet to play a game for the Mets, but he will continue to be a potential call-up option for them when injuries arise. In 12 games with Syracuse this year, he has struggled, as he has just four hits in 41 at-bats. From here, he will be hoping to bounce back to increase his chances of seeing action with the Mets.

Katoh played his first eight MLB games this season with the Blue Jays. In eight games with the team, he had one hit in seven at-bats.
