Cubs Outright Pitcher

After clearing waivers, Sean Newcomb has now been sent down to Triple-A Iowa by the Chicago Cubs.

Due to Newcomb having more than three years of MLB experience, he has the option to reject this assignment. If he does, he will become a free agent and look to sign a contract elsewhere.

In Newcomb's four appearances this season with the Cubs, he had a 16.62 ERA. Thus, he struggled mightily with the team. Let's see what happens with the 148-game veteran from here.
