Athletics Pitcher To Have Surgery

Oakland Athletics pitcher Daulton Jefferies is set to have thoracic outlet surgery this week. At this juncture, an expected recovery time has yet to be determined.

Jeffries was recently placed on the 60-day injured list, so it had become known that his injury is a long-term one. Now, with the pitcher getting surgery, it will likely keep him out even longer.

The 2022 season hasn't been a particularly impressive on for Jefferies, as he has a 1-7 record to go along with a 5.72 ERA. Yet, if he returns before the season is over, he will be aiming to rebound from his rough start to the campaign. Alas, here's to hoping he gets the chance to.
