Yankees Catcher Has Surgery

The New York Yankees are going to have to wait longer for Ben Rortvedt to make his debut with the club, as he had knee surgery. His expected recovery time is six to eight weeks.

Rortvedt was acquired by the Yankees along with Josh Donaldson and Isiah Kiner-Falefa from the Minnesota Twins before the start of the 2022 season. The 24year-old catcher is eagerly waiting to make his debut for the team, but he will now of course have to recover first.

Rortvedt made his major league debut last season with the Twins, where he had three home runs, seven RBIs, and a. 169 batting average in 39 games played. It will be intriguing to see how he improves upon these stats with the Yankees once he is healthy.
