White Sox Reliever Placed On Injured List

Although the Chicago White Sox are getting Yoan Moncada and Joe Kelly back, they have a new injury to deal with. Aaron Bummer has now been placed on the 10-day injured list due to knee trouble.

Bummer has had mixed results in 2022, so he will be hoping that this time on the IL will help him become more consistent after the fact. In 12 games on the year thus far, he sports a 0-1 record to go along with a 4.91 ERA.

Over the year, Bummer has become an important part of Chicago's bullpen, so his absence will be noticeable. Over the course of his 208-game career, he has a 7-10 record, 3.23 ERA, and 216 strikeouts. Here's to hoping that the reliever will be able to return immediately after this 10-day stint on the IL is over.
