Pirates Designate Pitcher For Assignment

The Pittsburgh Pirates have designated Cam Alldred for assignment.

Alldred made his major league appearance for the Pirates this season. Yet, it was only for one game, where he allowed zero earned runs and had one strikeout in an inning pitched. Overall, he did what was asked of him when called upon but unfortunately did not receive any other chances. 

Alldred could get the attention of others from here, though. In 10 games this season with Triple-A Indianapolis, he's been very good, as he has a 2-1 record and 1.33 ERA. Perhaps this could lead to a team acquiring him or picking him up on waivers. We will have to wait and see what happens from here.
