Orioles Call Up Pitcher

The Baltimore Orioles have made another roster move. This time, they have called up Nick Vespi from Triple-A.

Assuming Vespi gets called to the mound, the 26-year-old will be making his major league debut for the Orioles. To say it's well-deserved is an understatement, as he has been simply excellent with Triple-A Norfolk this season. In 12 games on the year, he has a perfect 0.00 ERA to go along with four saves and 21 strikeouts. If he can translate this kind of play over to the majors, the O's will need to keep him around.

Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how Vespi performs in the sport's most competitive league. It's hard not to feel optimistic about the reliever, though.
