MLB Rumors: Mets Linked To Veteran Reliever

According to Jon Heyman, the New York Mets could pursue free agent pitcher Trevor Rosenthal.

After missing all of the 2021 season due to injury, Rosenthal is now healthy and prepared to work out for teams around the league. It would make sense for the Mets to bring him in, as he is an experienced reliever who has put together a strong career. With that, they also should be continuing to build on their roster with how well they have been playing in 2022.

In 373 career games between the Cardinals, Nationals, Tigers, Royals, and Padres, Rosenthal has a 12-25 record, 3.36 ERA, and 490 strikeouts. With that, he is also a one-time All-Star. It will be interesting to see if he ends up as a Met from here.
