MLB Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots For Tyler Mahle

The Reds are absolutely atrocious this season and will be major sellers at the trade deadline. One player who would likely benefit from a change of scenery is Tyler Mahle. It's been a brutal year for the 27-year-old, as he has a 1-4 record and 7.01 ERA. Yet, he is also coming off a 2021 season where he went 13-6 and had a 3.75 ERA. Thus, if he's officially made available, it's likely teams will call. Here are three who should do just that.

Seattle Mariners: The Mariners were linked to Mahle during the offseason, but a deal did not come to fruition. Yet, it seems possible that Seattle could pursue him yet again this season. At this point of the year, they have a 12-14 record and are third in the AL West. As a way to help their chances of climbing in the standings, perhaps adding Mahle would help with that. Yet, he would need to bounce back first.

Colorado Rockies: The Rockies have been a nice surprise this season, as they sport a 15-10 record and are third in the NL West. If they want to continue to keep up with the Dodgers, Padres, and Giants, they will need to improve upon their pitching. Assuming Mahle finds his old form, he would be an ideal target for them.

Cleveland Guardians: The AL Central is not looking too tough right now, and the Guardians are in second place because of it. Their 12-13 record isn't amazing, but one long winning streak could help their chances of being a playoff team significantly. Adding to their rotation could be a smart decision because of this, so perhaps Mahle could go from one Ohio team to another.
