Marlins Infielder Placed On Injured List
Miami Marlins infielder Joey Wendle has been placed on the injured list. The 32-year-old will be sidelined due to a hamstring strain.
After being an All-Star in 2021, the Tampa Bay Rays traded Wendle to the Miami Marlins this offseason. Thus far, he has been fitting in quite nicely with the Marlins, as he has two home runs, 10 RBIs, and a .304 batting average. Yet, the veteran will now have to miss time, and the Marlins will understandably miss him.
The Marlins will be hoping that Wendle will be able to return to the lineup as soon as this stint on the 10-day IL is over. However, when it comes to hamstring injuries, they can be tricky. Therefore, this is a storyline that fans should watch closely from here.
