Cubs First Baseman Sent Down To Triple-A

The Chicago Cubs have sent Frank Schwindel down to Triple-A.

Schwindel has gotten into a lot of action this season for the Cubs, so this is a pretty notable move. In 25 games with the team, he had two home runs, nine RBIs, and a .209 batting average. With numbers like these, it's clear that he has struggled in 2022, so perhaps some time back in Triple-A could help him.

The future is still bright for Schwindel, though. Keep in mind, after joining the Cubs last season, he was excellent at the plate. In 56 games, he had 13 home runs, 40 RBIs, and a .342 batting average. If he can find that magic again, there's no question that he will get another call-up later down the road.
