Brewers Pitcher Becomes Free Agent

After being designated for assignment and clearing waivers, Jose Urena has now elected to become a free agent.

Urena will be hoping to find a new home in the majors from here. In his four appearances this season with the Brewers, he had a 0-0 record and 3.52 ERA. Overall, he looked fairly solid in the team's bullpen, so there's reason to believe there could be interest around the league.

Urena's overall experience also should help his chances, too. In 172 career games between the Marlins, Tiges, and Brewers, he has a 36-54 record to go along with a 4.76 ERA.
