Reds Promote Top Pitching Prospect

The Cincinnati Reds are giving another one of their top pitching prospects a shot in the majors, as they have promoted Nick Lodolo.

Lodolo was selected with the seventh overall pick of the 2019 MLB Draft, so naturally, he is viewed as possessing a lot of potential. He is coming off of a solid 2021 season that saw him spend time between Double-A and Triple-A. In 13 total appearances, he had a 2-2 record and 2.31 ERA. It will be intriguing to see how the starter performs in the sport's most competitive league from here.

It has also been reported that Lodolo will be starting his first-ever major league game on Wednesday against the Cleveland Guardians. All Reds fans should be paying a lot of attention to the 24-year-old during it.

Nevertheless, congrats to Nick for landing this amazing promotion!
