Baltimore Orioles Promote Pitcher

With John Means being placed on the injured list, the Baltimore Orioles have decided to bring up pitcher Travis Lakins Sr.

Lakins Sr. is certainly a familiar face to the Orioles, as he appeared in 46 games for the team over the last two seasons. The 2021 season was a very rough one for him, however, as he had a 1-4 record and 5.79 ERA in 24 appearances. Yet, during the campaign before, he was quite effective. During it, he sported a 3-2 record and 2.81 ERA in 22 games. This is the kind of form he will be aiming to replicate during his promotion.

Lakins Sr. will be an intriguing pitcher to pay attention to from here. He has shown in the past that he can be effective at the major league level. If he once again can be, Baltimore will be very likely to keep him on their major league roster for the remainder. Alas, time will tell if that comes to fruition.
