MLB Rumors: Cardinals Want To Bring Back Legend

According to The Athletic's Katie Woo, the St. Louis Cardinals are seriously considering the idea of signing Albert Pujols.

Pujols of course is a legend in St. Louis' history, so it would be massive for the former face of the franchise to return. Although he is no longer the superstar that he once was, he would provide them with another decent option at DH.

In 109 games last season between the Angels and Dodgers, Pujols had 17 home runs, 50 RBIs, and a .236 batting average. Yet, it's important to note that he ended the year on a strong note with the Dodgers, as he had 12 home runs and a .254 batting average in 85 games.

Seeing Pujols return to the Cardinals would be great. He could retire with the team he never should have left and reunite with Yadier Molina and Adam Wainwright. Alas, let's see if a contract comes to fruition.
