Big Update Regarding Max Muncy

While speaking with David Vassegh, Max Muncy shared that he thinks he will be ready to go for the start of the regular season. He noted that he is already swinging again, too.

The Dodgers lost Muncy right before the playoffs, as the 31-year-old infielder sustained a ligament tear in his left elbow. He certainly was missed in their lineup during it, as he of course is one of their best all-around players. However, once the lockout is over and players return to work, Muncy should be there with them.

The 2021 campaign was certainly one for Muncy to remember. In 144 games, he had a career-high 36 home runs to go along with 94 RBIs and a .249 batting average. With these numbers, he was named to his second All-Star Game. For the 2022 season, he will be looking to replicate this kind of success.

The Dodgers have had themselves a hard offseason, as they lost Max Scherzer and Corey Seager through free agency. Although that certainly is a big blow to them, they should be happy that Muncy is progressing well.
