White Sox Sign Two More Players

The Chicago White Sox are staying busy. They have now signed relief pitcher Kyle Crick and infielder Ryder Jones.

Crick signed a deal with the White Sox last season after he was let go by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Yet, he never ended up making an appearance with Chicago. Now, he will be aiming to do so in 2022.

Crick has played at the major-league level in each of the last five seasons. In 180 appearances between the San Francisco Giants and Pirates, he has a 7-11 record, 3.51 ERA, and 182 strikeouts. Although the Pirates decided to release him last campaign, his statistics weren't terrible. In 27 games, he had a 1-1 record and 4.44 ERA. It seems possible that he could make their major-league roster this time around.

Jones will be aiming to play in the majors for the first time since the 2018 campaign. In 58 career games with the Giants, he has home runs, eight RBIs, and a .184 batting average. He spent the 2021 season in both Double-A and Triple-A. In 75 total games, he had 11 home runs, 47 RBIs, and a .288 batting average.

Nevertheless, these are two small moves by the White Sox that could potentially benefit them. Let's see if these two can fight their way onto the major-league roster.
