Padres Tatis Jr Involved in Car Accident in Dominican

In some developing news San Diego Padres superstar Fernando Tatis Jr is doing fine after being a part of a multi-vehicle accident in his native Dominican Republic. This according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Word is there was a couple of vehicles involved including a motorcycle but at this time nobody can seem to confirm which was being operated by Tatis. The secondary information provided is thanks to Dominican Journalist Baudilio Jimenez.

So far there's been no comment from Tatis' reps, himself or the Padres ball club. Obviously everyone in baseball is monitoring the incident very closely, but it appears Tatis is done well and only has some minor scrapes. Remind yourself the Padres are unable to comment on any active players due to the MLB lockout that we all love.

The 22-year-old superstar dealt with some injury troubles in 2021, and finished third in MVP voting. He slashed .282/.364/.611 and swatted 42 HR in the 130 games he appeared in. It was his first season after signing his massive contract extension that blew away the baseball world at 14-years and $340,000,000.

Let's hope nothing comes out of this accident and everyone was ok, and can move on to baseball again. Assuming the owners stop locking out the players....
