Huge Update on the Trevor Bauer Investigation

Los Angeles Dodgers starter Trevor Bauer is now out for the season after the investigation into sexual assault allegations continues. Bauer has been placed on multiple administrative leaves and now it's been extended to cover the rest of the season.

The league and the team are trying to keep this from being a distraction. Both the league and the MLBPA decided it was best if they extended it to cover off the playoffs as well. Bauer's agents had this to say to the media on Friday about their client:

Today Mr. Bauer agreed to extend his administrative leave through the playoffs in a measure of good faith and in an effort to minimize any distraction to the Dodgers organization and his teammates. He continues to cooperate with the MLB investigation and refute the baseless allegations against him

Bauer, who was one of the biggest names on the free agent market last offseason has multiple teams happy they didn't spend hundreds of millions to sign the right-hander. The Dodgers try to move on without Bauer meanwhile the LA County district attorney's office continues to review the findings from the Pasadena Police Department regarding the sexual assault claims.

Bauer is signed for two more seasons as his career is now in jeopardy.
