"We suck. But not for long!": Yankees Going Big In The Trade Market

New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman says his team is in "buying mode", ready to upgrade its roster through trades.

"I promise our fan base," says Cashman, "we're going to do everything in our power to right the ship." And he recently told ex-MLB GM Jim Bowden "We suck. But not for long."

When asked if he thinks the Yankees will make a trade, former GM Jim Bowden shared a text he got from Brian Cashman:

Cashman also stated trade possibilities are beginning to open up more than last month, that he’s open for business and open to improving this team.

There are already a number of juicy rumors out there, involving Ketel Marte, Starling Marte, and more.

Cashman even addressed the team's recent unwillingness to go over the luxury tax threshold:

Brian Cashman isn't ruling out the idea of the Yankees going over the luxury tax threshold. Said Steinbrenner's mindset has always been to at least bring it up if Cashman believes in it.

He says he won't rule that out, and neither has managing general partner Hal Steinbrenner. As for Yankees fans, Cashman might still have a little convincing to do.
