MLB Rumors: 2 Washington Nationals Trade Candidates To Watch
The Washington Nationals will be a team to watch closely as we get closer to the 2026 MLB trade deadline. With the Nationals being in a rebuild, it would not be surprising in the slightest if they end up being sellers this year.
Because of this, let's take a look at two Nationals who could be on the move this season.
CJ Abrams
Abrams has been in the rumor mill since the offseason, and it would not be very surprising if the Nationals ended up trading him this season because of it. With the Nationals focused on the future, Abrams stands out as a prime trade target for them to dangle to land a nice return of prospects. In 33 games this season, he has eight home runs, 27 RBIs, and a .289 batting average.
James Wood
Wood is another notable National who has been creating chatter in the rumor mill as a trade candidate. The 23-year-old slugger would have the potential to get the Nationals a major return in a potential move, so he could be a player to watch this season. In 34 games this season with DC, he has 10 home runs, 24 RBIs, and a .238 batting average.
