MLB Trade Rumors: 5 Teams 'Would Love To Land' Red Sox OF Jarren Duran
Jarren Duran surprisingly found himself on the rumor mill during the 2025 season, following a breakout All-Star campaign in 2024. The Boston Red Sox refrained from trading the 29-year-old, however. But could they revisit it this offseason?
According to Jim Bowden in The Athletic, there are five teams that "would love to land" the five-tool outfielder. As he's still under team control for another three seasons, it would seem to be a no-brainer for other clubs to be interested in landing Duran, especially those with needs in the outfield. But, as Bowden notes, "it would take a huge haul for the Red Sox to move him."
With an outfield of the future of Roman Anthony in left, Ceddanne Rafaela in center and Wilyer Abreu in right field, Boston could see themselves free to trade Duran, but it'll be costly.
Here are the destinations he lists as suitors:
- Philadelphia Phillies
- Los Angeles Dodgers
- Detroit Tigers
- Cleveland guardians
- Texas Rangers

As for the list of teams above, the Phillies are looking to revamp and upgrade their outfield this offseason, with Nick Castellanos on his way out, by either trade or buyout. Duran would be a nice boost.
The Dodgers, currently battling to win their second straight World Series, if they have any weakness (aside from the bullpen) it would be in the outfield.
The Tigers, Guardians and Rangers all need boosts for their offense, and center field is a common theme where upgrades are sought.
