MLB Rumors: New York Yankees To Explore Trading Two Catchers

The New York Yankees 2023 season was a disappointment from beginning to end, and with the fan base growing restless in the face of a now 14-year Championship drought, they're expected to make some massive moves this winter.

Now, with the off-season almost upon us, the moves may begin immediately, and with so much to do, it appears the Yankees are ready to move on from not one but two of their catchers, with Kyle Higashioka and Ben Rortvedt both considered as trade candidates.

With the likes of Juan Soto, Shohei Ohtani, Blake Snell, Cody Bellinger and so many other players up for grabs via trade or free agency, the Yankees are considered to be players for all of them, and with Austin Wells and Jose Trevino still in the organization, trading away their catching depth makes perfect sense.
