MLB Rumors: Texas Rangers Not Ruling Star Out Of Playoff Contention Yet

 

The Texas Rangers find themselves right in the fight for the American League Wild Card with less than a week to go in the season, and if they can make the playoffs, they could potentially have some major reinforcements on the way.

While he was originally ruled out for the remainder of the season, there's now optimism that the veteran star can get back for the playoffs if the Rangers make it that far, and if that happens, this could make them one of the most dangerous teams in the AL.

With Max Scherzer playing long toss from 200 feet out in front of him, Bruce Bochy acknowledged there is still some hope they get Max Scherzer back for the postseason.

According to Scherzer: “The moment I can get back, I’m back. I didn’t quit on the season.”

In 8 starts with the Rangers since joining them from the Mets, Scherzer went 4-2 with a 3.20 ERA over 45 innings of work, and if they can get him healthy with their incredible offence, they could be tough for anyone in the AL to stop.
