MLB Rumors: Chicago Cubs Star Right Hander Could Return In 2023

 

The Chicago Cubs have made a surprising playoff push in 2023, as they sit in a Wild Card spot with a month left to go, and now, the team have gotten a very positive update on one of their most important players down the stretch.

While there was a belief that his season could be over, Manager David Ross has now revealed that Stroman will throw a bullpen in the coming days, with an eye on returning to the mound at some point during their playoff push.

- Brandon Hughes, Nick Burdi and Ben Brown expected to pitch with Iowa today

When healthy this season, Stroman was no doubt a Cy Young candidate, and if the Cubs with their red-hot lineup can stay in the Wild Card race as the season winds down, getting him back would make them a genuine threat in the National League.
