San Francisco Giants Sign Recently DFA'd Veteran Infielder

 

The San Francisco Giants have been struggling in a big way as of late, and with their playoff push in the balance, on Tuesday, they made a solid move to land some infield depth in a veteran who was just recently designated for assignment. 

That would be veteran and former St. Louis Cardinals & Toronto Blue Jays infielder Paul DeJong, who struggled mightily in the few weeks he had north of the border, and now he looks to reinvigorate his career with the Giants playoff push.

With injuries to J.D. Davis, Brandon Crawford and Thairo Estrada throughout the year, depth will always be a good thing for the Giants, and now they'll be praying for a big turnaround from DeJong over the final six weeks of the 2023 season.
