More Sordid Details Revealed on Domingo German Outburst That Led to Banishment

We learned earlier this week that New York Yankees pitcher Domingo German was disciplined by the team and placed on the restricted list, ending his 2023 season.

We're now learning more of the sordid details of the "incident" that manager Aaron Boone alluded to that led to the banishment.

German was in the clubhouse on Tuesday visibly intoxicated and belligerent, and getting into confrontations with Boone and some of his teammates. He also smashed a clubhouse TV and flipped over a couch.

He was then forcibly held down by others in a sauna, with the hopes they could help him "sweat out" the excess alcohol in his system.

After that, German was placed in a team "nap room" with security keeping an eye on him.

The 31-year-old (as of today) has had a tumultuous season that's also included a 10-game suspension from MLB for foreign substance violation, and at the other extreme, tossing a perfect game.

German was also suspended 81 games in 2019-20 for a domestic violence incident.

Safe to say there's never a dull moment with the Dominican-born Yankees hurler.
