Los Angeles Angels Promote 2023 First-Round Draft Pick

The Los Angeles Angels have made plenty of interesting moves over the past few years, all in the name of escaping mediocrity in the AL West, and on Friday, they made a move that perhaps no one around the league saw coming.

On Friday, the Angels promoted first baseman Nolan Schanuel from the Double-A level, and what's shocking about that is, he was drafted less than three months ago at No. 11 overall, and has played just 21 games at the minor league level.

This is an incredible rise for the young 21-year old, and with this, it's clear the Angels see a big future in him, and if he can be a solid contributor for the rest of the year, we could be looking at a key piece of their lineup for the future.
