BREAKING: Cardinals' Jack Flaherty Traded To AL East Team

In a huge move in the final minutes leading up to the trade deadline, the Baltimore Orioles have made a huge splash, acquiring starter Jack Flaherty from the St. Louis Cardinals.
Thus far this season, the 27-year-old has recorded a 4.43 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, with 106 strikeouts across 109.2 innings and 20 starts.

The former Cy-Young candidate hasn't quite been himself since his fabulous 2019 season where he finished 13th in MVP voting and fourth in Cy-Young voting after posting a 2.75 ERA across 33 starts.

That being said, Flaherty did have a nice month of July, compiling a solid 3.03 ERA with 26 strikeouts over 29.2 innings and five starts, holding a 3-1 record.

The return for St. Louis has not yet been announced.
